Thank you for the opportunity to help you find the perfect gown for your special event. We have the perfect dress for your next prom, pageant, homecoming, military ball, cocktail party, or other formal occasions. Please read the following so we may better serve you. 

Our prom gowns start at $350 and up. We do have the store divided by size. Our cocktail dresses range from $250 to approximately $800. We receive new inventory regularly and carry couture gowns for those looking for a one-of-a-kind. Prices reflected on our website are the prices of dresses in the store.

Appointments

Pageant, Couture, and Bridesmaids appointments are available. Please call 910-486-5323 to reserve a time with our senior stylists in our exclusive suites; there is a $50 booking fee for appointments. We welcome prom shoppers to walk in during business hours. If you want to upgrade your prom shopping experience to a private appointment, you may do so with a $50 booking fee.

Layaway

We offer layaway for gowns priced at $350 and up. A 1/3 deposit of the total price and a $35 layaway fee is due at the time of layaway. There is a five-day grace period from your payment date; missing payments will result in a $25 late fee. We have an automatic payment plan available for your convenience as well. After your gown is on layaway, you can no longer try it on or show anyone. When the balance is paid in full, we will release your gown. Layaway dresses are stored in a safe environment. When you are ready to get your gown out of layaway, please email us at least 24 hours in advance at info@lifeisanaffairtoremember.com Notifying us ensures we will have your dress pulled from storage and ready for you. Failure to email us may cause a lengthy wait, or we may request that you return another day. There are no refunds, exchanges, or credits on layaways.No exceptions.

Special orders

To place a special order with one of our designers, we require a 50% deposit and shipping fee. If the gown is in stock with the designer, it can take up to 4 weeks (or more due to Covid) to arrive in the store. Please allow a two-week grace period (before and after) for shipments. Due to Covid, we will NOT take special orders for items not in our vendor's warehouse. Rush delivery is sometimes an option for an additional fee. Once your gown is ordered, it is yours; refunds or exchanges are not given.

Holds

​

If you have found your dress and want to put it on hold for 24 hours, there will be a $50 charge. If you do not return to finalize the purchase in the next 24 hours, the gown will return to the floor, and you will forfeit your money. If you return in 24 hours, your hold fee will be credited towards that gown—no exceptions to this rule.

Annual Fashion Show

Once you purchase a $350+ gown from An Affair to Remember, you automatically become #AGirlToRemember. Becoming A Girl To Remember makes you eligible to walk in our annual fashion show. Please express your interest at our fashion show website www.AATRNCFashionShow.com. Please direct questions about the fashion show to AATRNCFashionShow@gmail.com. We relinquish all responsibility to the customer to contact us for interest in the fashion show.
